Why

Who we are

Together With Hill Country Veterans (TWHCV) is a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing veteran suicide through education and community outreach. TWHCV focus is on rural veterans as they have an increased likelihood of suicide due to lack of mental health resources, isolation, and easy access to weapons.

What we offer

TWHCV offers FREE suicide prevention training and education to the public to raise awareness and reduce the stigma surrounding suicide. QPR (Question, Persuade, and Refer) is our primary education method. These classes are offered free-of-charge and, depending on your time constraints, can be tailored to your group and taught either virtually, or in-person.

Why we do this

Death by suicide is preventable and the factors leading to a decision to do so can be mitigated if addressed in advance by a caring and trained community. We can save a life if we know what to look for and have the training and courage to act.
